 Spring is here, hooray!! trees are blooming, birds are singing, Mother Earth is warming up, we can soon start to peel off our layers of winter clothing, the beach will be calling, now that can be a scary thought when our bodies have been hiding for 6 months under all those clothes.....the comfort foods of winter will have to go......the thought of excessive exercise is a bit daunting but I think it's time for the volleys to come out of hybination.
The beginning of spring is also a time to do some personal cleaning out, letting go of some old ideas and beliefs that no longer apply, give them the boot!

 'YOU CAN DO IT'
Congratulations to Susan Donovan, Susan was the lucky winner of the weekend package to see Wayne Dyer and others at the Sydney Convention Centre, the ticket was kindly donated by Hay House, from the feedback I've had from Susan it was one of those life changing weekends, Wayne Dyer is one of those memorable people that stay with you forever........here is a brief outline of Susan's experience... |
Dear Jenny,
"It was with great excitement that I attended the You Can Do It! Conference mid August, thanks to winning a ticket in the New Moon store promotion. The highlight for me was the session with Wayne Dyer, who at 70 was very energetic, surprisingly cheeky and of course, inspirational.
Marcia Hines introduced Wayne as no longer the "father of motivation" but now, the "father of inspiration" Inspiration, according to Wayne, is when "an idea gets a hold of you and moves you where you were intended to go (and you let it)". The subtle but critical difference between inspiration and motivation? Motivation can easily be driven by "whats in it for me?", with all its accompanying attachment and angst, as opposed to inspiration, which in Wayne's meaning of the word, originates in the impulse: "how may I serve?"
In short, Wayne explained that to be available to be inspired, you need to be available to change your self concept, and that takes a significant commitment to find and live out of the highest part of yourself (the part that is a particle of universal consciousness). If you can get access to this part of yourself, and start living from it, synchronicity will go up a gear and the right things and the right people will show up. This appeals to me!
And now the challenging part: "If you refuse to accept responsibility for the incarnation of a new and higher concept of yourself, you reject the means, and the only means to attain this. Few are willing to make such a commitment." In short: accept the responsibility to go to the highest place in yourself and commit to living a higher, more elevated experience from there. Easy to agree with, harder to live up to.
In the last 40 minutes of his 4 hour session, Wayne raced through the 7 steps of manifesting: 1. the power of imagining 2. living from the outcome 3. assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled 4. mindfulness of the quality of attention you put on your goal 5. being awake to the programming of your subconscious 6. applying all the above to the last 5 minutes of your day 7. noticing if the goal feels natural to you yet (if not, you have more unhelpful beliefs to deal with).
I greatly appreciated the balance of time Wayne spent on his topics: over 80% of time was spent on where you are coming from when you want to manifest and less than 20% of time was spent on how to manifest. I woke up 2 days later saying over and over to myself: You Can Do It! Many thanks to Wayne and New Moon for the inspiration."

 Aromatherapy Recipes for Spring Steam inhalations are the best way detox and get ready for the warmer weather. The ready availability of essential oils has made aromatherapy steam inhalations much easier and more effective.
1: ½ fill a bowl with boiling water, add 3 drops of lavender oil, 3 drops of eucalyptus oil, bend over the bowl, cover your head with a towel and breathe through your nose deeply for a few minutes, keep your eyes closed, repeat 3 to 4 times.........this treatment can be done 4 to 5 times a day
2: Lavender oil in a vaporiser (burner) at night is also good and rosemary during the day....about 4 to 5 drops |
